QuDoS multiple sclerosis: NHS case studies 2019 Outstanding MS occupational therapist

Susan has developed her local care service based around the specific needs of her MS patients, using the most current evidence available. She has set up several services and clinics in response to patient needs, taking on leadership responsibilities and training for each of them. These services include the MS complex splinting clinic, the MS complex/palliative MDT clinic, the monthly transition MDT clinic, and a weekly complex seating clinic. In addition, the service also offers ongoing daily occupational therapy outpatient appointments to address fatigue, work, participation in daily activities, handwriting, feeding and splinting. Susan has also co-developed and supervises an MDT vocational rehabilitation service. In addition, Susan is involved with the TiMS Working Group and was part of the NICE 2014 MS Guideline Development Group. Susan is dedicated to her work and constantly strives to improve the management of patients with MS.
