Judges commend high standard of entries as QuDoS shortlist is announced

From digital initiatives to patient-centred service optimisation projects, the wide range of entries showcased the innovation and excellence on display in MS management and service delivery.

The programme brings the whole MS community together to recognise the crucial role specialist healthcare professionals play in providing quality care for people living with the progressive neurological condition.

Winners and commendations will be announced at the recognition evening on 2 November 2019 at Jurys Inn, Hinckley Island.

After the event, winners will be offered the chance to disseminate their best practice case studies via the QuDoS in MS website and resource hub.

By placing a heavy emphasis on sharing best practice, QuDoS aims to contribute to the continual improvement of vital MS services.

Paul Tunnah, CEO, pharmaphorum, said:
“This year’s QuDoS shortlist is a great reflection of the talent and dedication of healthcare professionals working to improve the lives and outcomes of people with MS in the UK today.

“Competition has once again been fierce, thanks to the strength of entries we’ve received from NHS teams, and I’m looking forward to celebrating their achievements at the recognition evening in November.

“Beyond that date, case studies will be available to show how the winning work increased quality in the delivery of services in multiple sclerosis, and to help further disseminate good practice throughout the health service.”

David Martin, CEO, MS Trust and member of the judging panel said:
“The quality and breadth of entries we received for this year’s QuDoS programme were remarkable. It made the judging process difficult but hugely rewarding. I’m very much looking forward to the recognition evening and congratulating all the nominees in person.”

Professor Dawn Langdon, Chair of Judges, Professor of Neuropsychology at Royal Holloway University of London, said:
“I was so impressed by the quality of the MS healthcare described in the entries. It’s clear to see the extraordinary commitment and energy of MS health professionals in providing services that are creative, well designed and tailored to the needs of people with MS.”
